Often people talk about the revolution that is happening in China, the US or Europe. These markets will continue to be important but the big revolution will be in Africa.
You may think this is a crazy idea: many African people are poor, the heath systems and infrastructure are underdeveloped and unemployment is high.
So why do we at PetroMall believe the ‘Future is in Africa’?
The population of Africa is very young. Looking at Uganda, 50% of the population is 14 years of age and under.
Over the next few years 21 million young Ugandans will be looking for education and employment.
Looking at Uganda’s neighbours of Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda and South Sudan, the number of under 14s adds another 65 million young people.
Africa is rich in natural resources. Be it viable agricultural land for food production, oil, minerals or human capital.
With improved political stability in the region will come inward investment, jobs, professionalisation and economic growth which will fuel demand for quality education at all levels.
